As with any great educator, it is hard to fully capture all the ways that Lauren contributes to the learning of both faculty and students. Lauren brings substantial knowledge and expertise. Her uplifting personality makes her a joy to be around. Lauren has strengthened the existing reading curriculum from kindergarten to grade six. Her influence reaches each teacher as she collaborates on an individual basis, at grade level meetings, and by presenting staff workshops. In each case, Lauren emphasizes best practices based on educational research, developmentally appropriate curriculum, and the importance of differentiating to meet specific needs of students. She also encourages staff collaboration as she recognizes the importance of drawing on one another’s strengths when developing curriculum.

"I think you should choose to learn with Mrs. Lauren because she is fun, enthusiastic and kind. Learning with Mrs. Lauren is exciting because we get to work on spelling using a rainbow popper. She has many creative tools and activities for us. She is also a silly and hard-working teacher. My favorite part is taking fun brain breaks together like drawing on the computer or having a dance party. I love Mrs. Lauren!"

“She is SO amazing! She helps me so much! I have been going with her for more than 5 years, because she is so amazing! Usually, I don’t like getting tutored in the summer but Mrs Lauren makes it sooooooo much fun! She’s helped me so much through the years and I don’t know what I would do without her. Also, over the summer she gives you a cool Summer kit that has so many fun things inside. For example, mine had a pop it, some play doe, a chalk board with a chalk packet, a book, a pencil grip, pretty note cards, and much much more. She uses that summer kit to help you learn in fun ways!
